The specific contest and entry rules for the Great Lakes Radio "Get Fishin' Giveaway" are as follows.
The Get Fishin' Giveaway differs from recent Great Lakes Radio, Inc. (GLR) contests in that GLR is giving listeners MULTIPLE chances to win. In this contest the more entries, the better chance of winning.
Contest Starts April 1, 2008 and Ends on or about July 15, 2008
Great Lakes Radio, Inc. reserves the right to modify these rules at any time without notice. In case of any disputes, judgments by Great Lakes Radio, Inc. are final
No purchase necessary.
How to register/enter:
1. On-Air: Register on-air by listening for your chance. When the time comes, the DJ "Casts" to see how many entries will be given away.
DJs WILL NOT be allowed to give more or less entries than those specified for that time.
Listeners will be allowed to enter ONLY ONCE by calling in, UNLESS the DJ is assigned a "WILD CARD." The wild card is a free-for-all, allowing ALL listeners a shot, even if they have already registered.
2. Entries from Buckets: REMOTES. From the time Great Lakes Radio, Inc. REMOTE promotional broadcast from a advertisers place of business will feature a chance to Get Fishin!
Buckets will be set up, each with a number on them 2-6. The listeners takes a "Mickey Mouse" rod (child's rod) with a practice caster on the end. They will be rewarded with ONE entry just for trying OR if they land the caster in a bucket, they will receive the corresponding number of entries.
3. Online Entries. One-Time Web entries. Contestants can simply log on to the website and register. This is worth ONE entry and can only be done ONCE for the entire contest, but pre-registers contestants (those that registered before the contest started) can register AGAIN once. Contestants can enter this potion at any of the following station sites: http://www.wkqsfm.com, http://www.wfxd.com, http://www.wrup.com, http://www.wqxo.com, http://www.wpiqradio.com
4. The Tacklebox Bait. By visiting sponsor locations, listeners can see what each sponsor has in their Tacklebox as their "Bait" (baits bi-weekly). The listener then logs onto the website and enters the BAIT, or they email to TACKLEBOX@GREATLAKESRADIO.ORG. Email returns an Auto-Response asking them to enter via web so we get all required information. Tacklebox entries are worth ONE ENTRY and can be completed every time the bait changes.
5. WKQS only Video of the Day Answer entries. Codes may be entered ONCE PER DAY PER LISTENER at wkqsfm.com, and are worth ONE entry.
6. WFXD only Web Entires, Fishing Story. The Outdoor Show Story of the Week. Listeners will be asked to visit WFXD.com and enter their best fishing stories.
The Outdoor Show will then "hand pick" the a story and award that individual with FIVE entries. GLR judgement of which story wins is final.
